UK Black Lives Matter protestors ignore public health threat posed by rallies

Another Black Lives Matter event is being held in London and crowds are gathering at Parliament Square in Westminster in solidarity with the United States movement which arose following the arrest and death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

The crowds of protestors are defying a plea from the United Kingdom's Health Secretary who has warned about the increased risk of coronavirus transmission due to the rally.

There were violent clashes between demonstrators and police outside Downing street during last Wednesday's rally, where 13 people were arrested.
