코로나19 밤새 594명 추가, 대구경북 536명…총 2천931명

South Korea has 594 newly confirmed cases on Saturday,... mostly, from Daegu and the surrounding Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
We start things off by connecting to our Eum Ji-young on the line.
Ji-young, please fill us in.
Yes Mokyeon, as you said, South Korea has confirmed 594 new cases on Saturday as of 10AM.
This brings the total of confirmed patients in the country to at least 2-thousand-9-hundred-31.
Among the newly confirmed, at least 536 patients are from Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
This is the result of 85 thousand 693 people being tested.
Also, South Korea has confirmed three more deaths on Friday, bringing the total to 16.
They are all elderly women between the ages of 60 and 90, and are from the city of Daegu.
Two died while receiving treatment in local hospitals.
But the other, a 69-year-old woman, had been in self-quarantine and was waiting for test results.
She had been transported to Daegu Catholic University Medical Center on Friday morning after suffering from breathing difficulties.
And within just an hour of arriving at the hospital she died, after which her test results came back as "positive".
She becomes the second confirmed patient to die after being self-quarantined.
South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye-Kyun on Saturday requested people to refrain from going to places where many people gather including religious events.

South Korea has reported its first case of re-infection on Friday.
What do we know about this case?
Mokyeon, the 73-year-old woman, who was the country's 25th patient, was discharged last Saturday,...only to find that she had been re-infected less than a week later.
According to NHK on Thursday, a woman in her 40s also tested positive again,... after being treated for symptoms and leaving hospital earlier this month.
There were also some re-infection cases in China this month.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 continues to spread across the globe, reaching all continents except for Antarctica.
New Zealand reported its first infection on Friday - a person in their 60s who came back to the country on February 26th after a trip to Iran.
Belarus, Lithuania, and Nigeria have also reported their first cases.
That's all for now but I'll bring more updates in the later newscast. Back to you Mokyeon.
