Hundreds of protesters gathered in London and Berlin on Sunday in solidarity with U.S. demonstrators who have been rallying over the death of George Floyd.
In London, protesters knelt in Trafalgar Square, chanting "No justice, no peace," and then marched past the Houses of Parliament - ending outside the U.S. Embassy.
Demonstrators also staged a rally outside the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, holding up posters and signs calling for justice for Floyd.
Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, Minn. on Monday after a police officer pressed his knee on his neck for several minutes.
The death of Floyd triggered a tide of protests in the United States, unleashing long-simmering rage over racial bias in the U.S. criminal justice system.

After over a week of protests over the death of George Floyd at the hands of a white Minneapolis police officer, calls for change were finally heard when city council officials voted to ban the use of neck restraints at a virtual meeting Friday. They are also requiring officers who witness unauthorized use of force to report it from the scene, and intervene verbally and physically. Demonstrators clashed with police in Minneapolis following the death of a black man, George Floyd, pinned to the ground by an officer. Four officers involved in the incident have been fired, but the victim’s family is demanding murder charges. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY.

People are defying curfews in the US to protest against police brutality and racism.
In Minneapolis, police have arrested several people for violating an 8pm local (01:00 GMT) curfew.
It is the sixth day of demonstrations, after an unarmed Black man died in police custody.

Benjamin Crump, lawyer for the family of George Floyd, tells TODAY that the discrepancy between the county autopsy on Floyd and an independent autopsy is “critical” to the case. He predicts that charges against a Minneapolis police officer involved in the death will be upgraded to first-degree murder and that other officers involved will be charged as well.

The death of George Floyd, a black man who died on Memorial Day after he was pinned down by a white Minnesota police officer, has sparked outrage and protests in Minneapolis and across the United States.
Second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter charges have been filed against Derek Chauvin, the officer who prosecutors say held his knee on Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes. La vidéo date du 18 mai, mais elle vient seulement de faire surface aux Etats-Unis. On y voit l'arrestation d'un homme afro-américain par des policiers de Sarasota, en Floride. Au cours de l'interpellation, l'un des officiers bloque la personne interpellée en écrasant son cou du genou, pendant environ une minute et demie. L'issue n'a pas été fatale mais, plus d'une semaine après la mort de George Floyd dans des circonstances similaires, ces images choquent une nouvelle fois le pays.
