#GiraffeCostume<br />Chinese woman had no choice but to buy the bizarre inflatable costume after needing to pick up lifesaving medicine for her dad despite running out of medical face masks<br />A Chinese woman turned up to hospital in a giant giraffe costume because she didn’t have any coronavirus masks left.<br /><br />The woman – known only as Mrs He – resorted to the bizarre outfit after her stricken parents asked her to run errands in Luzhou, China.<br /><br />She told reporters that she bought the costume last week after running out of working face masks.<br /><br />She also revealed that she shelled out on an alien costume for when the dinosaur one needed washing.<br />Hilarious footage shows her covered from head to toe with a small piece of plastic film for her to see out of.<br /><br />Her father was a regular patients at the hospital’s respiratory ward before the virus broke out.<br /><br />As the healthiest person in the family, she volunteered to go into town for medicine – and even managed to persuade a doctor to do a consultation over webcam.<br />Another video shows Mrs He in regular clothes with an expired medical mask and ski glasses.<br /><br />She said: “I have been wearing this mask for a while. There's no face mask available for sale.”<br />Factories now working around the clock at full capacity are still only able to produce about 20 million masks each day, China's ministry of industry revealed.<br /><br />The Wuhan coronavirus has shown no signs of slowing down in mainland China, with more than 31,100 confirmed cases.<br />

Former national security adviser John Bolton claims President Donald Trump asked his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, to help him win the 2020 US presidential election, according to an excerpt from his upcoming book published by the Wall Street Journal.
That encounter, according to Bolton, took place during a June 2019 meeting between the two leaders in Osaka, Japan, where "Xi told Trump that the U.S.-China relationship was the most important in the world" and said that "some (unnamed) American political figures were making erroneous judgments by calling for a new cold war with China."
"Whether Xi meant to finger the Democrats or some of us sitting on the US side of the table, I don't know, but Trump immediately assumed that Xi meant the Democrats. Trump said approvingly that there was great hostility to China among the Democrats," Bolton writes in the WSJ.
"Trump then, stunningly, turned the conversation to the coming U.S. presidential election, alluding to China's economic capability and pleading with Xi to ensure he'd win. He stressed the importance of farmers and increased Chinese purchases of soybeans and wheat in the electoral outcome," he adds.
