In Reel 3, French troops man the Maginot Line in 1940, there is an analysis of the weakness of French morale and a dramatization of German propaganda. Footage also shows the French defensive strategy, Nazi airborne troops landing at Rotterdam, and armored columns racing across Holland. Reel 4 chronicles the Dutch surrender, but Rotterdam is reduced to ruins by bombing. Footage shows Panzer units invading Belgium and taking an Albert Canal fort, and advancing Allied columns are impeded by fleeing refugees. Reel 5 shows Panzer units, preceded by engineers, breaking through the Ardennes Forest, crossing the Meuse River, and taking the Sedan. Also included in an analysis of the operation. In Reel 6, Allied troops are evacuated at Dunkirk, Winston Churchill inspects the survivors, Italian troops invade France, President Franklin Roosevelt deplores the action, and Benito Mussolini speaks. General Henri Philippe Petain, Pierre Laval, Adolf Hitler and Hermann Goring are shown as the French surrender is signed. Hitler tours Paris and Generals Charles de Gaulle and Henri Giraud inspect free French units in North Africa.

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, a Democrat, fired back at President Donald Trump in an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo after Trump appeared to suggest he would intervene in the city's growing protests and called for law and order.
Trump also claimed that the protesters, who he called "domestic terrorists," have taken over Seattle.
The President has threatened to use active military to tamp down protests and has encouraged governors to deploy the National Guard to help assist with demonstrations.

Within hours of his call to 911 outside a convenience store, Sterling Higgins lay dead, after video shows him being forcibly restrained on the floor at the Obion County Jail in Union City, Tennessee.
A surveillance camera video from that morning, 15 months ago, shows a correctional officer gripping Higgins' neck and head for nearly six minutes, and part of that time his arresting officer with one foot on him. Then, Higgins' limp body was dragged to a restraint chair and wheeled into a cell.
The video, submitted in a wrongful death lawsuit filed in federal district court in Tennessee, is at the heart of another claim that yet another black man needlessly died in custody because of law enforcement misconduct. All the defendants have denied the allegations in legal filings.
Those videos were never shown to a grand jury that, last October, declined to indict any of the officers involved, as first reported by WSPD, in Paducah, Kentucky. The 27th District attorney general, Tommy Thomas, told CNN he didn't see the need to show jurors the video because he already had decided not to seek criminal charges against the officers.
