Charges announced in Brooklyn Center double shooting
Three Minneapolis men face attempted murder charges after Tuesday's shooting in a Brooklyn Center parking lot of Checkers fast food restaurant on 66th Avenue near Highway 252.
According to the criminal complaint three men were meeting another man to buy marijuana, but instead they tried to rob him. The men met inside a parked car. Shots were fired, with the alleged marijuana dealer getting shot in the face. He will lose his left eye.
One of the suspects charged, Kenneth Sullivan, 27, was also shot. He was treated and released from North Memorial Medical Center. Also charged were Tawann Hunter, 20, and Shawntre Washington, 18.
A 2-year-old child was in the back seat of the car as the crime occurred, but was not hurt.
