Hundreds of people marched from Martin Luther King Jr. Park to the Rochester Police Public Safety Building Saturday to protest the death of George Floyd.

Two Australian journalists have been set upon while reporting on Black Lives Matter protests in London.

Nine News correspondent Ben Avery was crossing to the Today show this morning when he was ambushed by demonstrators and forced to abandon his live coverage.

It comes after Nine's Europe Correspondent Sophie Walsh was attacked live on air while previewing a Black Lives Matter protest last night.

Ms Walsh was live on the evening news in Adelaide when a man allegedly said Allahu Akbar before grabbing her.
Her cameraman managed to chase down the attacker and hold him until police arrived.

He was allegedly found in possession of a screwdriver and arrested for threats to kill and carrying a weapon.

During an otherwise peaceful Black Lives Matter protest in Eugene, Ore., a car accelerated into a protester and continued driving through an intersection with the protester atop the roof of the car as other protesters surrounded and hit the car, breaking the back window at 8th and High St., two blocks from the center of the protest.

A Black Lives Matter protest in the heart of Sydney's CBD arguing against the treatment of incarcerated Indigenous Australians and in solidarity with the George Floyd protests is believed to have been organised by the Communist Party.

The demonstration was held in solidarity with Black Lives Matter protests in the United States which were triggered by the arrest and subsequent death of Mr Floyd, an unarmed African American man.

The protest was initiated by Indigenous Australians but at the last minute was cancelled and only went ahead after the Australian Communist Party took over.

A party member, who identifies as Indigenous, went on to lead the demonstration on Tuesday.

On Saturday a second Black Lives Matter protest is organised to take place once again in Sydney’s CBD.

Sky News host Andrew Bolt said reports indicate “if you are a white prisoner you are just as likely to die in jail as a black prisoner”.

He said the protest was really “a front for another attack on capitalism and democracy”.

Thousands of protesters have flouted social distancing restrictions by marching through the Sydney CBD in solidarity with demonstrators in the US over the death of George Floyd.

The 'Black Lives Matter' rally started in Hyde Park before making its way to State Parliament.

Authorities said the protest remained entirely peaceful and no arrests were made.

A second, larger rally is scheduled for the weekend.
