Growing up MLK was my hero. I knew at some point my art would intersect with him. Dr. King used art, spoken word to mobilize people, to push others to change policy. The outcome uniting people. I'm sure it was a beautiful thing to experience. I can't think of anyone I wish more to embody. This song Ain't Free, inspired by recent events from Charlottesville to civil rights to wage slavery, sex slavery...I can go on.
