On Monday, in Washington D.C., demonstrators were cleared from an area around a park near the White House in a show of force by authorities to clear a path for President Trump and advisors to have a photo opportunity from an historic church on Lafayette Square.

Minneapolis and other U.S. cities brace for more heated demonstrations after protesters and police across the nation continue to clash in the wake of George Floyd's death.

More than 4,400 arrests have been made at demonstrations nationwide since video emerged showing former Minneapolis Officer Derek Chauvin holding his knee to Floyd's neck for more than eight minutes. On Monday, President Donald Trump chastised governors for failing to halt the looting, vandalism and violence.

More than 50 Secret Service agents have been injured during ugly clashes outside the White House on a sixth night of violence sparked by the death of George Floyd.

The attacks came after President Trump was reportedly moved to a secure bunker usually used during terror attacks as heated protests escalated across Washington D.C.

Agents rushed Trump to the Presidential Emergency Operations Center as they were nervous for his safety, the New York Times reported.

A senior official involved in defending Washington D.C. later told Fox News dozens of Secret Service officers were injured in clashes on Sunday night.

The source also claimed some rioters were seen throwing bottles and Molotov cocktails at law enforcement officers.

Others were spotted parking cars near the 'President's Palace' filled with incendiary materials for future use, Fox News reported it was told.

Nationwide Protests Lead To Unrest In Dozens Of Cities Across America | TODAY

In a dramatic escalation of a national crisis, National Guard troops were deployed near the White House Monday evening hours after President Donald Trump said he wanted a military show of force against violent protests gripping the country.

Shortly after, Trump came to the White House Rose Garden to call himself the "law and order" president, saying "domestic terrorism" was to blame for the unrest.

"As we speak, I am dispatching thousands and thousands of heavily armed soldiers, military personnel, and law enforcement officers to stop the rioting, looting, vandalism, assaults, and the wanton destruction of property," he said. "We will end it now."

Protests in Minneapolis and elsewhere continue, as cries to prosecute the other three police officers at the scene during the death of George Floyd continue. There is a growing memorial for Floyd at the corner where he was pinned down by police until he reportedly stopped breathing.

ooters stormed Lower Manhattan on Saturday night -- destroying store windows and lighting fires in another night of violent George Floyd protests.

The NYPD said what started as mostly peaceful protest turned to destruction when night fell.

The damage was widespread throughout multiple neighborhoods.

Apple stores, a Verizon store and clothing stores were all damaged -- not just with their windows shattered, but the contents inside were taken.
Cameras captured looters inside an Urban Outfitters at 14th and 6th moments after the windows were shattered.
