A 62-year-old man was shot and killed inside his apartment and police are searching for the suspect.

The incident was reported inside an apartment on Sutter Avenue around 3 p.m.

Police say a male suspect knocked on Angel Medina's door. A woman answered and checked with Medina whether or not the suspect should be allowed in.

Medina told the woman to allow the suspect inside the apartment. That is when he was shot and killed.

When police arrived, they discovered Medina dead with a gunshot wound to the torso.

Fences were set up outside the Brooklyn Center Police Department on Monday as demonstrators gathered to condemn the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright.

Protesters gathered carrying signs and chanting slogans outside the police precinct after the death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, shot by the police on Sunday, sparked unrest in the town, currently under curfew.

Protesters chanted slogans such as 'Justice for Daunte Wright,' and 'No justice, no peace.'

National Guard officers were also present outside the police department.

According to local authorities, Wright was pulled over on Sunday afternoon but reentered the vehicle and continued driving, after which a police officer mistakenly fired at him instead of using a Taser.

Wright crashed his car a few blocks away and was later pronounced dead.

The incident took place about 10 miles (16 kilometres) from the spot where George Floyd, another black man, was killed during an arrest in May last year.

Many athletes are considered role models. And not only for their achievements and their willpower, but also for their good deeds. In today's video we want to show you people who have done things that are really worthy of respect.

Several witnesses gave emotional testimony on day three of Derek Chauvin's murder trial, and prosecutors released new police bodycam footage.

In it, George Floyd pleads with officers during his arrest, saying: "I'm not a bad guy."

Mr Chauvin was fired as a police officer in Minneapolis after a viral video showed him with his knee on the neck of George Floyd for more then nine minutes. He denies the charges.
